What is the best advice you would give someone who just got out of an abusive relationship?

The relationship was over months ago, even though the breakup occurred recently. My friend just emotionally "checked out" and now is back on the market. But before she goes any further, I would like to know what steps she may need to take before she meets someone new. She’s not looking for a relationship— she easily attracts guys— but I think she needs to put some things into perspective before she goes any further. What advice might you give her?

ya

Concentrate on other parts of her life. Don’t focus on relationships right away.

Just remind her that what she went through… wasn’t her fault, and she deserves much better then that.

No matter what she’s vulnerable right now~

Don’t talk to him…or see him (abuser) its very easy to get pulled back into his trap, especially with false apologies.

You didn’t mention kids..so thats easy enough.

Don’t go on the re-bound ~ She may attract the same type of guy as her ex.

Let her take her time getting back on track , she needs to build her self confidence back up. Talk to her and make her trust others(boys) becuase she may be emotionally scared to be around them ,trust them , hang out with them.
