I’m out of the bar scene, I just don’t get into it. Occasionally I meet a woman out at a restaurant or at a store. I remember, when I was younger, going to the club and meeting many women. I’m 27yrs old now and I have a 4 year old son. Wonder where people my age hang and meet each other?
It is refreshing to know that a 27 year-old single man with a child is no longer into the club scene. I know a LOT of men who aren’t so, good for you!
Back to your question: Your child’s school/daycare/preschool. i am sure you are not the only single parent…and there are a lot of cute single, teachers out there! My uncle just got remarried to his daughters teacher….they are so in love. Try going places where more mature women (women who are ready for kids and a family…so, probably not the bar scene) would go. There are always websites and support groups. Just some suggestions…hope it helps. Good luck!

I hear from dudes to meet decent women just around at grocery stores and stuff like that but that never has really worked for me. and also have been told not clubs. so i wanna ask the ladies where they go to meet men and are most willing to give them the time of day. i just want to hear it from the source. Where would i meet decent women?
simply–in the good places.
no women is gonna meet a serious guy in a night club.. or a strip party. Just using that as an example.. it’s all about the location..Good and decent men hangs out in decent places..

her. I emailed her and simply said that I would like to try and make our relationship work. She told me that she misses me as well, but she needs more time, which I am going to give her. Before she broke-up with me, she said I had been a "heel" at times, not quite a jerk, bust just a thoughtless, selfish, stupid ass. No verbal abuse, we always respected each other, certainly no physical abuse and no cheating by either of us. I know she will get to the point where she will be over me entirely, and I will lose my high school sweetheart (she found me after 26 years of looking!) Please, no smarmy answers, I’m hurting here. Have you taken somebody back that was a little insensitive at times (together 7 months), but who you knew was very sorry and who is, in fact, capable of change? I really would like to think that she just needs that time, but that we can run into each others arms again (OK, I know, a little too sappy). Thoughts? TY!
If she says that she misses you, there is definitely a place in her heart that says that she wants to take you back, and that you’re still apart of her. Girls, often take back their ex. Just give her time, and some space, but make her realize that you’re willing to change, and you’re willing to work hard to gain back that trust, respect, and love that you once had. I have taken back someone who was a little insensitive at times, but I knew that he was sorry for all the wrong that he did to me. So don’t worry about it! Time will heal all things =) Hope this helped!

hmm… It doesn’t seem like men do that… women seem to lose themselves in their partner. I know I do… which makes a breakup SO much more difficult. Seriously… why do we do that?
god… it must be so much easier to be a man!!
Well I don’t think LOSING yourself in a relationship is healthy, but both people are supposed to put their all into a relationship. Relationships take hard work, and if you don’t put 100% in (although that doesn’t mean giving up everything you liked about your life before this person was around), then it isn’t going to work. I put everything I have into a relationship – I want to give it my best – then if things don’t work out, at least I know it wasn’t because of a lack of effort on my part. However, I still hang out with my friends, maintain my exercise schedule, etc. while in a relationship.
As for people who become a different person and stop doing everything they were doing when single, while in a relationship… I don’t know why they’d do that. I guess they don’t know who they really are, and are weak. I’m sorry to be blunt like that, but it’s true.
I totally disagree with these people’s responses. Women are not THAT different than men – I know a lot of men that put all of themselves into a relationship too. Break ups are NOT more difficult for women. There have been studies that show that women are actually faster to recover from relationships because they have friends that they can talk to and lean on after a break up. Men often don’t, yet they are experiencing the same stress.

How do you cope with divorce? The answer is quite simple: Smirnoff. And lots of it.
Another spur-of-the-moment production at the Madison Regatta. There’s a hint of SNL from the skit “Dear Sister” which makes fun of the OC finale; when Dorris (played by Laken) tells me that she wants a divorce, the clip from the song “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap starts playing. The movie’s theme music is by Of Monteal. Great song!
Take away from it what you will.
ENJOY!!!!

So you here all the excuses all the time as to why someone is single.
Ohhh I don’t have the time.
All the good men are taken.
I’m too picky.
These all stem from insecurities within ourselves that are preventing us from getting into a healthy stream of dating relaitonships or settling down in a long term one.
