why do we feel we have to have sleep with a man just to keep him interested?

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

i was thinking about why we women always feel like we need to sleep with a man to keep him about.. I know in my past i’ve done that.. thinking that will be a good way to keep them around maybe get them to like me or something and it never turns out well..
when will we realize we are worth more!
i know not all women feel this way.. but deep down you know you’ve thought about it! aren’t we better than that?
are ourself essteems that low?
hrm i am currently not having this issue.. but i’ve noticed i’ve done it before… also from some posts on here it seems the younger generation is following into thinking thats how to get a man

So many women have low self-esteem, and think that if she sleeps with a guy, it will keep him around. The problem there is, if that is the case, she is with the wrong guy! There is a lack of respect on both ends: self respect from her, and respect she is not getting from the guy. I think it is a maturity issue as well. Once a women grows into herself and has the confidence she should have, that school of thought tends to disappear.

invalid sleep studies, what should i do now?

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

about 5 years ago i was in a car accident in which i had a head injury. Prior to the injury i was relatively healthy with normal sleep habits. I started to notice soon after the injury i could not breathe right in my sleep. i could feel something in the back of my throat like an excess build up and I could sometimes spit it up. Now and days my breathing at night is worse and ive having extreme panic attacks. Ill be up briefly 5 or 10 times in the course of the evening having to drink water and settle down. the nose and throat specialists thought i had acid reflux but i have no history of heart burn plus the meds they gave me just messed with my bowels. the 2 sleep studies i had were invalid cuz i could not sleep during them but they still count them as a valid test so they can collect insurance money. and the insurance companies mess it up cuz they dont want the study to run longer than 1 evening.

im at a cross roads. i feel suicidal cuz i just have not had a decent nights sleep in 5 years. the CPAP is like 600 dollars and a lot of sleep apnea patients dont even stick with it cuz its annoying. Ill soon be entirely out of work unable to function because of this. What should i do? I think this is a prime example of how health care is broken but I just dont like that its gonna screw me royally up the ass.

So….c’mon, you answered your own question. You sound like you know what you need. A lot of people don’t stick with the cpap, a lot do. I have several family members who use one, and they have felt better than they ever did without it, its worth it to them to deal with the annoyance. Cough up the money out of pocket and buy the thing. $600 or being unemployed with no sleep? Which is worse?
