I find it kind of hard to believe that some people say they have meet on an dating web site because were they live very far away, and can hardly date each other to get to know each other (well they are talking online tho)

Do you really believe you could find true love on dating web sites?

They are all pretty good. Personally I do not care for myspace and wish they would shut that one down. Yahoo personbals is where my dad found alot of his female friends. Yahoo runs a respectable site for personals and doesnt charge for using it. Just keep in mind thoug, anyone can say anything on the computer but it is how that person is once you meet that tells the tale

cos i have tried it for over a year now and whilst i have made some fab friends i have found the large majority of guys are just desparate for a s**g!! and are rude and offensive on msn and yahoo
In face to face meetings in clubs etc too thats all i find
is there any hope or should i leave net dating and not try too hard

Like anywhere, there are good and bad experiences. I find that some people think that the internet means they don’t have to try as hard, so they skip to the chase and ask for sex. Other people hide behind the internet and want to drag meeting into some month long chat fest. It depends on who you meet.

I have found some cool people, but you have to remember that seriously 95% of people anywhere are just a waste of time. It’s a numbers game. But either way, best not to LOOK for true love online or in a club or anywhere. Just look to meet people and have fun and true love will find you.

Funnily enough yes. Love happens whereever reality sometimes is not how the movies or what soceity dictates it to be. Ironically such a method of meeting someone has higher odds than the old fashioned, say bar environment. The odds on talking 2 10 random drunk people in 1 night & meeting the love of your life are far lower & more prone to failure than e-mailing 200 random people then meeting them sober. People r conditioned the bar is where love is 2 be found.

Net dating is just an avenue 2 meet someone it is not the best method it by far is not the only method just an avenue simple as that. Love is simply people of similar characters & similar situations meeting in similar sceanarios. Hence why best places 2 find love are through friends, at functions, at theartes, museums where a common interest is always present. As a guy put yourself in those places & watch the ladies come upto you.

I read an article which said that most male internet daters start to develop feelings for a girl after exchanging e-mails and phone conversations. Why do you think a guy would develop feelings for a girl based on a picture and in what she has to say over e-mail & phone conversations?

I cannot answer for all guys, only myself and the guys I know.

Typically, we approach people we are attracted to. This is why we go to bars… and on the internet ask for pictures and etc…

Talking on the phone and e-mails are not really for most guys. The phone is for getting things done like calling the fire department and the cops.

E-mail is for an introduction to get a date to go out and do things. Most pictures of the women are phoney ones any ways… or 50 lbs. lighter than the person sending the picture(s). Typically, we guys are told, "Oh, that was me back in 7th grade, high school or whenever.

Then, we see if the girls are who they say they are and if we can relate to them… if we are still attracked to the real person.

If we cannot connect, and are not compatable we leave. If we do not "connect" by the third date, it is over. If the girl never pays it is also over. Now a days, we believe that equal rights means equal responsibilities and commitment. Too many women/girls make a game of it and want to lead us on to as many freebies as they can get…

should i stay in a marriage where i am 80% of the time unhappy? i can be alone it has nothing to do with that cuz he is in the army and i am always on my own when he is deployed. he is deployed right now. we have 2 kids and i want to know if i should stick it out for them and try to make it work or leave while i am young. he also feels the same way as i do cuz we talk about it all the time. divorce has been brought up twice before to where i have even gone to a divorce lawyer. also we have been married 7 years. help i need some advice please.

2 nights ago my (ex)girlfriend of a year and 3 months broke it off with me, she says that she fell out of love with me and feels like a relationship is to stressful at the moment. shes 18, soon to be 19 and i am 21.
She told me that she wants to go on a break, but its also sort of a break up, she did not specifically say how it was going to work out, but she just doesnt want to see eachother or talk for a while so she can see where she is emotionally in a while..This is the hardest thing i have ever had to go through, before her my longest relationship was 3 months. I am still completely in love with her and it just hurts so horribley, I feel like crying every single 10 minutes of the day. I feel suicidal but I am not going to kill myself, or leave my family like that.

She texted me the night after which was really suprising, she just said "hey, i dont know why i texted you but i just wanted to say hey." and I just said "okay, well i didnt text you all day or night because i am giving you your space and time that you need" and she never texted me back after that, or the whole day yesterday either.. She sent a text to my friend saying "I have to get used to not texting him, im just used to doing that every night."

Anyway I dont know how to be hopeful, I would rather look at things the worst then for the better so i dont get my hopes up. It hurts so F***** bad, and just dont understand how she could do that, I mean the signs have been there for a while and i should have relalized.
She changed all her myspace and facebook status’s to single..even though we might only be on just a break, but like i said it really does feel like a breakup because she was never specific.

I’m just wondering if it seems like i should be hopeful, just give her space and not text or call her at all and just wait and see if she will do it. Like i said this is the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life..

don’t worry about it too much. if you’re hoping for the best and driving yourself suicidal because of this, its best to just let it go.
of course its not going to be easy, and i understand, but in time you’ll see that she’s just another girl, and it’ll take some time for you to heal, but don’t worry, everything will be ok :]
my opinion is that just leave it alone for now. if she wants to come back in the relationship, then she will. relax and spend more time with friends and don’t let her get in with your happiness.

her. I emailed her and simply said that I would like to try and make our relationship work. She told me that she misses me as well, but she needs more time, which I am going to give her. Before she broke-up with me, she said I had been a "heel" at times, not quite a jerk, bust just a thoughtless, selfish, stupid ass. No verbal abuse, we always respected each other, certainly no physical abuse and no cheating by either of us. I know she will get to the point where she will be over me entirely, and I will lose my high school sweetheart (she found me after 26 years of looking!) Please, no smarmy answers, I’m hurting here. Have you taken somebody back that was a little insensitive at times (together 7 months), but who you knew was very sorry and who is, in fact, capable of change? I really would like to think that she just needs that time, but that we can run into each others arms again (OK, I know, a little too sappy). Thoughts? TY!

If she says that she misses you, there is definitely a place in her heart that says that she wants to take you back, and that you’re still apart of her. Girls, often take back their ex. Just give her time, and some space, but make her realize that you’re willing to change, and you’re willing to work hard to gain back that trust, respect, and love that you once had. I have taken back someone who was a little insensitive at times, but I knew that he was sorry for all the wrong that he did to me. So don’t worry about it! Time will heal all things =) Hope this helped!
