Girlfriend of a year and 3 months said she doesn’t love me anymore and wants a break/break up?
Tuesday, February 23rd, 20102 nights ago my (ex)girlfriend of a year and 3 months broke it off with me, she says that she fell out of love with me and feels like a relationship is to stressful at the moment. shes 18, soon to be 19 and i am 21.
She told me that she wants to go on a break, but its also sort of a break up, she did not specifically say how it was going to work out, but she just doesnt want to see eachother or talk for a while so she can see where she is emotionally in a while..This is the hardest thing i have ever had to go through, before her my longest relationship was 3 months. I am still completely in love with her and it just hurts so horribley, I feel like crying every single 10 minutes of the day. I feel suicidal but I am not going to kill myself, or leave my family like that.
She texted me the night after which was really suprising, she just said "hey, i dont know why i texted you but i just wanted to say hey." and I just said "okay, well i didnt text you all day or night because i am giving you your space and time that you need" and she never texted me back after that, or the whole day yesterday either.. She sent a text to my friend saying "I have to get used to not texting him, im just used to doing that every night."
Anyway I dont know how to be hopeful, I would rather look at things the worst then for the better so i dont get my hopes up. It hurts so F***** bad, and just dont understand how she could do that, I mean the signs have been there for a while and i should have relalized.
She changed all her myspace and facebook status’s to single..even though we might only be on just a break, but like i said it really does feel like a breakup because she was never specific.
I’m just wondering if it seems like i should be hopeful, just give her space and not text or call her at all and just wait and see if she will do it. Like i said this is the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life..
don’t worry about it too much. if you’re hoping for the best and driving yourself suicidal because of this, its best to just let it go.
of course its not going to be easy, and i understand, but in time you’ll see that she’s just another girl, and it’ll take some time for you to heal, but don’t worry, everything will be ok :]
my opinion is that just leave it alone for now. if she wants to come back in the relationship, then she will. relax and spend more time with friends and don’t let her get in with your happiness.
