How to stop thinking painful thoughts after break up?
Me and my GF broke up yesterday she left me for another guy. Ever since I have been upset and occasionally have thoughts of them doing things. (Making out,sex,kissing,etc) I don’t know why these thoughts appear but everytime they come up it feels like a knife has been dug into my side.
Any advice on getting rid of these thoughts?
Yes,you must try to be busy all the time for one-two months.I know a father who had a boy,and when his boy died,had a lot of thoughts.He made a list with all the things that he must repair in his house.And the thoughts past.
I did this,when I broke up,I worked a lot,and it helped me.Is normal to have thoughts like this.This will past,she is not important for your life,future,no anymore.


you just have to wait it out and distract yourself. I was dumped 3 months ag and I am still in immense pain. Maybe go take up karate or something to distract yourself so that you don’t have as much time to dwell.

There isn’t much you can do to completely rid yourself of these thoughts other than time. Right now you can try and distract yourself by hanging out with friends and doing things that you enjoy. For the long term though just give it time. Remember you only broke up yesterday so this is new and you need time. Good luck!

well, i have to say, i can relate, it hurts, and the only way to get out of it, is to completely disconnect yourself from her, you have to decide though, whether you think you still have a chance with her, cuz it seems you still love her, do you still want to be friends, or do you want the pain of those thoughts to haunt you, either way its painful, im sorry you have to go through this

If she left you for another guy, shes so not worth crying for. You have those thoughts because you just miss doing that with her. I get to that pain too. Plus she moved on quicker than you. You shouldn’t be obsess about it.
