Yeah, people in M&D are super preachy and just can’t answer questions. That’s why I have so much fun posting in this forum.

My relationship’s not over officially, and I’ve invested nearly two decades, and sometimes I feel I know my wife better than anyone — and sometimes she’s a stranger. I do think adversity either breaks you or makes you stronger.

We had some trouble 35 yrs ago. We went to counseling and put the marriage back together stronger than it ever was. W also learned skills that we still use. I can't imagine life without her. Am sooooo glad we worked to save the marriage. And it was work.

I assume this happens but I'm not so sure how long it lasts. For instance, Michael and Juanita Jordan filed in 2003, hten reconciled, and finally ended up divorcing in 2007.

I am glad to have worked through the tough times and believe we are stronger for it, we have been married 26 years. We remember the good and try not dwell on the hard times. Everyone has troubles and obstacles in their marriage, no matter how far they go, it's working through the tough times that makes the marriage stronger. Once you admit defeat, it's easier each time to give up. I have numerous friends and family that are on their third marriage and no happier than they were on the first.

Ok this is a serious one. I tried working it out. really hard for 3 years and we have a son. No one is perfect and we made a vow till death do us part. But not until she cheated on me. I can't handle that. Somewhat i cheated on her too. so i guess for me it really didnt work out for us. And now we are both happy atleast I'm happy. and I'm so happy that my divorce got final. I felt bad for my son thought but i have him most of the time.

Not exactly "marriage" but when I was engaged to my now husband..we kept breaking up an dgetting back together..and finally we chose to marry..and things have been very good ever since...: )

Once you plow the road to get to the brink of divorce its easy to get back there. Most get back once the new honeymoon wears off.
