its a case that is called, "he is messing with your head". so overall, he is messing with your head. you guys dated and that was it. there was a reason that you guys broke up. you wanted more and he didn't feel share that same sentiment with you. so the only thing that you can really do, is just move on. no more IM's, phone calls, its a wrap. upgrade to someone else that can make you worthy in the relationship and wants the same things that you want. beyonce wrote a song about it called "Upgrade U" so now, you have to just upgrade your standards and have better.

If he's the type of person to stand you up, he's obviously not good enough for your love or trust. I'd say, just find someone who actually cares about you, and won't ditch you.
